Beiger offers numerous programs to meet the needs of our community. In addition to our Boys and Girls Club program, we have and extended day instruction known as the “Homework Room.”
Did you know it is okay to eat pizza for breakfast? Beiger participates in the federally funded breakfast program. There is no need to sign up, just drop in the cafeteria at 8:05 A.M. and start your day right with a healthy breakfast.
Compass Club is a partnership between the School City of Mishawaka and Family & Children’s Center, the parent organization for Boys & Girls Clubs of St. Joseph County. The hours this school year are Monday and Friday, 6:45 A.M. – 8:45 A.M. and 3:00 P.M. – 6:00 P.M.
Beiger offers parents homework assistance in a variety of ways. We have Homework Room after school from 3:00 – 4:00 P.M. Monday through Thursday for students who need a quiet place to study, academic help, or use of our educational resources. Students are asked to bring all the books and materials they will need in order to make this time meaningful.
Before school teachers often are found assisting students by tutoring them in reading and math. This is a program that is set up by the classroom teacher and is based on need. Parents and students need to contact their teacher in order to make the necessary arrangements.
